Blood India ( www.bloodindia.org )is a portal started by few technologists who care for the life and society on 15 August 2008. The portal lists the registered blood donors, the site can be accessed from Mobile aswell. This gives the flexibilty for the patient or patients relative to get the numbers from their mobile with GPRS.
Shortcode service will soon be launched where the users with out GPRS can request for blood by sending SMS. OngoBiz Solutions ( www.ongobiz.com ), a mobile application development company has provided the technology support for this good cause.
